We at the SEAHG want to thank everyone who came out and supported us in our first year. We had an absolute blast putting it on, and are setting up for next year!
On March 19, 2016 the Twisted Kilt Society hosted the first annual Southeast Alabama Highland Games and Scottish Heritage Festival. It was an event to behold, with over 1,000 in attendance.
We will feature all the traditional Highland Games events, including the caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw, and more.
This is a family fun event. We encourage everyone to come out if only to see the games and watch the demonstrations that will be going on.
We will also be hosting a mini highland games for the kids (let them toss a caber) and hosting a car show plus a lot more!
The Twisted Kilt Society wants to offer Dothan and the surrounding areas another way to celebrate St. Paddy's Day! A United Kingdom celebration, joining Scottish, Irish, and English heritage and bringing them together to share in a family friendly environment.
